Bell peppers are expensive. I remember my father always complaining at how expensive they were. Ok, it doesn’t help that I buy only organic peppers at $5.99/lb. My weekly shop usually has about 6-7 medium sized peppers in it, and it usually comes close to $20– ooooooouch!
I’ve seen people waste so much flesh of what is a good bell pepper. So here, I am going to show you how you can get all of the flesh with very little fuss.
HOW TO PREPARE A BELL PEPPER
Method
1. Lie the pepper on its side.
2. Slice across the pepper about 1.25 cm (½ inch) near the stalk.
3. Pop out the stalk and discard. Remove the seeds with your fingers or a spoon, discard.
4. Prepare the pepper in whatever fashion you choose.
