I’m still here… living, breathing, eating, sleeping and working. Yes, I said working. This is the reason for my laxness in updating my blog. It’s not that I don’t cook every day now, I do. I just don’t take the time to write up the recipes on my blog – I’m a lazy ass! I seem to spend most evenings passing out on my zero-gravity recliner chair. There is a backlog of entries that I need to post, and this is one of them.
A few weeks ago, it was our tenth anniversary. I wanted to make something special for J. Commercial tat is never the same as something that you can make yourself – it’s special because it’s unique.
Since he’s a chocolate-fan, I decided to make him a selection of dark chocolates. All in all, they didn’t take that long to make, although there is some planning required. The results are really worth it. I placed them into a heart-shaped tin that I received from my in-laws, which oddly enough held toiletries. I even made a little description sheet within the tin… obviously I had too much time then!
I fitted three of each type of chocolate in the tin – truffles, Bounty balls, coffee delight, fruit & nut clusters, peanut butter cups and hazelnut surprise. They were well received. I will be posting the recipes for these chocolates in due course, so keep your eyes peeled. Meanwhile, drool at the photo above.
